Cancer Early Detection Tests
One of the most important goals in cancer care is to find cancer as early as possible, when treatment may be simpler, less aggressive, and more likely to succeed. A range of tests have been developed to help detect cancer before symptoms appear or at an early stage when it may be easier to treat.
Early detection
Some early-detection tests are already well established in mainstream medicine, particularly in population screening programmes for cancers such as breast, bowel, and cervical cancer. Others are newer and aim to detect cancer through blood-based biomarkers, genetic signals, or other emerging technologies. These newer approaches are attracting growing interest, but not all have yet been proven to improve outcomes in real-world use.
Early detection can be valuable, but it is not always straightforward. A test may sometimes miss a cancer, find something uncertain, or detect abnormalities that would never have caused harm. For that reason, the usefulness of any early-detection test depends not only on whether it can find cancer, but also on how accurate it is and whether its use leads to better patient outcomes.
where can I get Cancer Early Detection Tests?
Early detection Tests are available from:
ONCOblot® Test
The ONCOblot® Test is a sensitive blood test for cancer. It identifies ENOX2 proteins, which indicate the tissue of origin and confirm the presence of cancer, in the bloodstream.
Test available from : Oncoblot Labs(USA)
Nagalase Blood Test
The Nagalase test measures the enzyme activity of nagalase, which is linked to immune suppression and can be associated with certain cancers.
Test available from: World Health Laboratories
The Netherlands.
Galleri Test
The Galleri® multi-cancer early detection test identifies DNA in the bloodstream shed by cancer cells1 and does not predict future genetic risk for cancer.
Test available from Galleri.com
EarlyCDT®– Lung
The EarlyCDT® Lung test detects the presence of autoantibodies generated by the body’s immune system, a natural defense against cancer cells. This aids in the early detection of lung cancer in high-risk patients.
Test available from: earlycdt.com
